Doug Goldstein, former Guns n Roses manager, has described the band’s forthcoming work at, “the best record that I’ve heard since Appetite For Destruction“, so you’ve got to assume that LA classic rockers Blacklist Union are doing something right. This seal of approval is directed at their forthcoming thirteen track album Back To Momo, their fourth full length release to date since forming back in 2004. Though the full offering is set for release on June 13th, you can get a hint of what’s coming with the band’s new single, Alive n Well Smack In The Middle Of Hell (which you can stream below).
Although the line “I’ll turn your no into a maybe” is pretty ominous, it’s well disguised among the tumbling onslaught of riffs that end up taking the focus of the track and that are clearly the crowing glory of it. To anyone who’s ever thought that classic rock n roll might be dead and gone; you’re wrong – and Blacklist Union are a perfect example of that.
