The New Union – Believe In Nothing review

Monday 4th August sees the release of Brighton based The New Union’s next single Believe In Nothing, which you can watch the video for below, on Fierce Panda Records/Label Fandango.

With a music video like something you’d expect from Imagine Dragons or Bastille, The New Union have managed to match perfectly the tireless determination in the repeated title line with a simplistic concept video of the band’s frontman running endlessly. The chorus, revolving around the title line, creates an anthem-like chant suited ideally to gang-vocals for a live audience, whilst the verses drop away from the striking riffs to reveal stronger yet understated lyricism. With its honest feel and catchy hooks, and rise and fall to grab attention and fade back, this track makes an ideal one for a summer driving playlist – chant along to the infectious chorus and enjoy the view through the softer instrumental.
