Walk The Moon – Shut Up And Dance review

Walk The Moon have been the band on everyone’s lips recently, after supporting You Me At Six ad All Time Low on tour, and selling out their own headline show at London’s Boston Arms. Their new single, Shut Up And Dance, is the perfect example of why they’ve driven up so much hype, along with the news of their forthcoming album, Talking Is Hard, out on May 11th on RCA.

On the surface it’s a catchy anthem, made for blasting load through the radio or getting hot and sweaty to dance along to, just under three and a half minute of fun and energy. Look a little further and you’ll find the riffed-up backing and bassline giving the track a kick, whilst big pop-rock hooks layer up to make the single infectious, fun and ridiculously addictive.

With a track this catchy – even including a clap-along section perfect for live shows – you’d be blind to not see the potential the band exude. Big things lie in wait for Walk The Moon, this album will undoubtedly bring them huge success. You can check out the video for the single, which has already racked up well over 5 million views, below – what’re you waiting for? Shut up and dance!
