We Fight Like Kids – Tequila Slammer review

On November 3rd, Midlands rockers We Fight Like Kids released their debut EP (which you can check out the review of here) and not too long ago they dropped the second single, Tequila Slammer, off the record in the form of a music video (which you can check out below).

Angsty and pumped, the pop-punk meets hardcore sound was a triumph for the mingling of the two genres, and the same traits are present in this sampler, the contrast remaining as striking as ever. The video’s shot in and around Derby’s The Victoria Inn (previously played by the likes of Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol, and a venue we’ve covered many a time). Though there’s a slight feeling of the release being just a bunch of angry kids putting music over a tour diary, there’s a down to earth and honest vibe presented in the cinematography that’s reflected in the EP.

They’re clear cut and well defined, and this single is an earworm with it’s contagious hooks; if you’re looking for potential success in the Midlands, look no further than We Fight Like Kids.
