Damn Vandals – Mad As Hell review

Today sees the release of the new Damn Vandals tune – Mad As Hell – taken from the new album, Rocket Out Of London. This full length follows the critically acclaimed debut from the band, Done For Desire, and the outfit have a history of grabbing the attention of the likes of BBC 6 Music and Classic Rock Magazine. Produced by long term collaborator Julian Simmons (Midlake, Ed Sheeran, Guillemots, Goldheart Assembly), Mad As Hell is accompanied by forceful follow-up, This Music Blows My Tiny Mind.

The pair of tracks, which can be streamed below via SoundCloud, are sure to send you flying with their short, sharp pace – combined, the songs come nowhere near the five minute mark, but milk every second they have with strong influx of riffs. There’s more than a hint of Queens Of The Stone Age in the music, though this isn’t an influence the band are conclusively bound to. Fans of classic rock be warned – these tracks are sure to blow your (possibly, but not necessarily) tiny mind.
